    I added a border and bg color code into the post-footer and block quote section of the template
    like this:
    p.post-footer {
    background:#D00001;
    margin:0;
    padding:2px 14px 2px 29px;
    border:3px solid #000000;
    border-bottom:3px solid #000000;
    font-size:100%;
    line-height:1.5em;
    color:#000000;
    text-align:right;
    }

    and this:
    blockquote {
    margin:.75em 0;
    border:3px solid #000000;
    border-width:1px 0;
    padding:5px 15px;
    }
    .post blockquote p {
    margin:.5em 0;
    }
